A Letter to Women Entrepreneurs: Honouring the Sovereign Weaver in All of Us.
A Celebration of Authentic Feminine Leadership on "International Women's Entrepreneurship Day"
Eight years ago, with one hand typing on the keyboard, the other arm holding the sleeping little body of my second baby, and a creative force I didn't know where it came from…
I started something from zero.
I thought I was starting a business, but in reality, what I was trying to create was a mechanism to protect my freedom.
The same thing my mother tried to do when I was 9 years old, and her job wouldn't let her leave early to come see me at the clinic as I recovered from an operation.
She found me in my nightgown, waiting for her on the hospital stairs.
She took a risk. She left her job to have the freedom to be there for us when we needed her, and she placed a table and a chair in her bedroom by the window.
That was the first 'office' of a successful public relations firm that was a pioneer in bringing international brands to the still very patriarchal Spain of the 1980s.
A business that created abundance for a family of 8 people (plus multiple animals ;)) and a financial cushion that even now has rescued me from more than one lean season.
I can't say that my mother's gene for being a trailblazing executive is as active in me.
But what I do know is that I did inherit the gene for a commitment to freedom.
And that is why, when I created my business, what I was really trying to do was…
To create a mechanism that would allow me to live and act in alignment with what matters most to me…
As a coach, as a mother, and as a woman who still believes in a better world.
I know many women feel resistance towards the world of entrepreneurship.
They are tired of the constant "buy this!" and the feeling that every conversation is a disguised transaction.
I feel it too. It becomes insistent and completely misses the true point.
That is why today, on International Women's Entrepreneurship Day, I don't want to celebrate the "hustle," the "grind," or sales as an end in themselves.
I want to honour the soul of the conscious entrepreneur and every one of those women who have crossed my path, who read me, or who offer me their valuable services.
Those souls who are changing the world, not by what they sell, but by what they dare to be.
This is the essence of the conscious entrepreneur I have come to know when I've dared to go a little deeper:
1. She is a ROOTED VISIONARY.
She doesn't just see a gap in the market (as the experts recommend); she feels a soul-level calling.
Her "why" is not based solely on profit, but on knowing that what she does is aligned with a deeper vision and purpose.
The vision of a client freed from anxiety.
The vision of a group nourished by connection.
The vision of a family healed thanks to the mother's small, internal shifts.
Her business is the vehicle for her deepest values to take form in the world.
She doesn't build to escape what she doesn't want, but to allow herself to fully embody who she truly is.
2. She is a SOVEREIGN CREATOR.
Her motivation isn't to be her own boss, but to remember the authority of her soul and the authentic desires of her heart.
This is the true freedom so many of us yearn for: to choose our hours, our projects, and our energy. It's the freedom to pick up our child without asking for permission, or to stay with them when they are sick.
But it's not just "logistical freedom":
It is also about creating the conditions to align our daily actions with our deepest truth, with our internal needs, and with that creative impulse inherent in every woman (and every man!).
3. She is an EMPATHETIC CONNECTOR, not an insistent seller.
The conscious entrepreneur doesn't see a network to exploit; she sees a community to nurture.
She replaces the sales pitch with an invitation to resonance, to each woman's sovereign and authentic choice.
It is the constant question: "How have I come to serve?" not "How do I sell this to them?"
She knows that true influence is born from the real impact of her service, not from her number of followers.
4. She is the EMBODIMENT of her work.
She doesn't have a secret formula she wants to impose on the world.
She is the living example of the transformation she offers, and she knows her work is destined solely for those who feel the call.
People are drawn to her being, long before they ever buy her method.
5. She is a WEAVER of a New Narrative.
Every time a woman chooses to build something from the heart, she challenges the old stories of scarcity, competition, and separation.
She weaves a new story based on abundance, collaboration, compassion, and wholeness.
She proves that you can be vulnerable and strong; a nurturer and a CEO; spiritual and profitable; highly sensitive and a master of boundaries.
And she understands that her work will only be sustainable if it is meant to catalyze a greater good, not just her personal benefit.
But here is the most beautiful secret:
This "Sovereign Weaver" is not found only in those who have launched a business.
She is an expression of the archetype of the conscious creator, and she lives within you.
She is the mother who weaves love and safety with her presence and her daily (often difficult) decisions.
The CEO who weaves integrity and purpose into her company.
The teacher who weaves curiosity, knowledge, and self-love into the next generation.
The artist who weaves beauty and truth from her soul.
The employee who weaves a new paradigm in her company without abandoning her values, her creativity, and her power of feminine collaboration.
The doctor who combines science, intuition, and empathy.
This archetype is the force that drives you to carve your own path, to honor your freedom, and to do what matters most in your sphere of influence.
For me, that is the soul of the conscious entrepreneur.
Regardless of your job title, it is about the life you are daring to build and the impact you are weaving with every decision.
And so, whether you are leading a team, a home, a business, or your own healing journey:
I recognize that sovereign weaver in you, and I honor your unique way of weaving freedom, connection, and abundance into the great, and now slightly frayed, tapestry of our world.
And, if you are one of the crazy ones who leapt into entrepreneurship, know that none of your challenges are in vain.
Today, I want to remind you that what you are doing is an act of bravery that, I have no doubt, will move tides…
Just as my mother moved them in a time when it seemed impossible for a woman to do so successfully.
